WHY I DON’T MAKE DISCIPLES:

Here are most popular excuses/reasons people give why they do not make disciples:

Don’t want to Offend someone

Don’t like conflict

I don’t Know enough

Loose my Image

Fear of being Rejected.

When focus is on self or what others will think of me, fear creeps in.  But when the focus is on the Lord's Commission and on the other person, we overcome the obstacles and disciple people. 

INSUFFICIENT DISCIPLESHIP:

West= Overly consumed with Righteous/Holy Living at the expense of Evangelism.

East= Overly consumed with Evangelism at the expense of Righteous Living.

What’s missing in the West is Evangelism.  We focus on righteous living and find every rational explanation to justify why we do not do sufficient invitation to people to follow Jesus Christ. 

What’s missing in the East is Righteous living.  We focus on evangelism and neglect righteous living.

Jesus’ invitation is both to invite people to follow Him AND to live a righteous life.  Biblical challenge is to do both fully.
